USING THE OPPORTUNITY GOD HAS GIVEN US TO REACH, SUPPORT, AND TEACH YOUNG HEARTS

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of god.”  Romans 12:2

What began as a visit to Kenya with World Orphans in the autumn of 2010, became a flourishing and impactful collaboration has evolved with a church and orphanage in Jinja, Uganda. The Calvary Orphan Outreach Ministry, in conjunction with World Orphans, has united with the Jinja Community Church of Faith to establish a partnership dedicated to supporting vulnerable and abandoned children within the church’s local community.

Helping using God given opportunities:

God has enabled us to support orphans annually, providing school fees, scholastic materials, uniforms, clothing, shoes, bedding, mosquito nets, toys, Vacation Bible School experiences, and vocational training in chicken farming and tailoring. Additionally, God has provided opportunities to empower the local church through leadership training, fostering self-sufficiency, and facilitating necessary renovations to the church compound. The primary emphasis of this partnership has been to identify and fund income-generating projects, enabling the church to independently sustain the orphanage and support the orphans.

Our Funded Projects:

The first project supported involved constructing a chicken farm and cultivating crops on a parcel of land adjacent to the church. Subsequently, a second initiative was conceived and funded, leading to the establishment of the Greater Love Nursery and Primary School in 2014. This Christian school not only provides education for orphans but also generates funds to support their living expenses. Currently, over 530 students attend the Greater Love Nursery and Primary School. The third project identified and funded involved procuring sewing machines and providing tailoring training for women and orphans associated with the church.
