It’s about that time again… many of you like to run, right? We’ll why not run with a purpose?

Each April the Calvary Orphan Outreach Ministry holds its largest fundraiser of the year, a 5K run/walk, to raise funds that will be used to host a free 4-day medical clinic in Uganda, Africa. This year will be the 4th Rescue Run 5K that the ministry has hosted and each year we have been able to use the funds raised to serve hundreds of impoverished people in Uganda.  To date, the free medical clinics have served over 1,500 men, women, and children who otherwise would have no medical treatment available to them.

The 2015 Rescue Run 5K run/walk will be held on Saturday, April 18th in the Troy City Park, Troy, MO.  On-site registration begins at 7 am and the start time is 8 am.  Race fees are $25 per person/$50 per family*.  Each paid participant will receive a registration pack which includes: a race t-shirt (while supplies last), an orphan rescue wrist-band, and a bottle of water.

You don’t want to miss it!

Also, we’ll be having our Rescue Run Bake sale on Saturday, April 4th from 10 am to 3 pm. All the proceeds go towards hosting and paying for the 4 day medical clinic we have every year in Uganda.

You can stop by and purchase some goodies, donate something tasty, or you can help by donating cake or cookies box mixes. For more information on how you can help out, be sure to check in with Bridget Costa!
