(12) Then you will call upon me and go and pray to Me and i will listen to you. (13)And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. (14) And I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity..."
I didn't grow up in a Christian home. However, I did go to church but didn't really know God. My parents were divorced when i was around the age of ten (i can't remember for sure). I lived with my mom but hardly saw her. She worked nights, sometimes she worked a double shift. And when she wasn't working she was sleeping. I had plenty of time to myself and did many things of which I am not proud. And among these things I there was one that stood out from the rest. This made me feel totally separate from God. I felt alone. As time went on I thought that God had forgotten me and was ready to judge and pour out His wrath on me. I had no were to turn so I turned to Him! As I called out to Him and poured out my heart to Him in surrender, it was then that He gathered me to Himself and covered me with His love. That is when i saw His mercy and grace. And that He wasn't chasing me to punish me but to give me a future and a hope in Him.
